A 15 year old client, refused to go to school, threatening family and threatening to run away. One of our 15 years old students who was shy, depressed, spoke about suicide. Used to draw guns, and images of hanging himself. He was very antisocial, and kept to himself. He did not participate in any extracurricular activities. Had a habit of stealing from others. He was referred to Advance Therapeutic Services IFI team. They worked with this youth for about a year. He is now in high school and very sociable. He also plays on the high school football team. He has not had any suicidal thoughts or stealing behaviors in past three to four months. His relationships with his parents and siblings have greatly improved, as well
One of my 17 year old clients was in the process of being expelled from alternative school when he was referred to Advance Therapeutic Concepts. He did not listen. He frequently got into fights with another students and teachers. He did not take school seriously and never did homework. He was arrested at school for assaulting one of the lunch ladies. After working with the IFI team for about a year, he completed his probation. The IFI team helped and counseled him as he completed his home schooling. Mother became more involved since program began. He is now enrolled in a GED program and set to finish in the next few months. He has not been in any fights. He and his mother have a great relationship now; mother is thankful for Advance Therapeutic Concepts.
The program helped my family at the time we needed it most. My daughter has reached big goals in a small time. We are thankful that the therapists were there for us. Great team!!!
My child received services from Advance Therapeutic Concepts for approximately five months. He displayed behaviors such as disrupting class, skipping classes, and talking back to teachers and family members. He would not follow directions at home. His grades started to decrease, and begin to utilize marijuana. During the five months of service, I noticed that his behavior and attitude begin to change. His teachers started to report that he was improving with his academics and communicating well with peers. He hasn’t been disrespectful to teachers or at home. He has shown signs of leadership qualities, for example he takes care of all household chores, and offers his assistance with sibling as well. I am very pleased with the services from Advance Therapeutic Concepts
My 6 year old son was referred to Advance Therapeutic Concepts after being admitted into an inpatient stabilization program. He was violent to teachers as well as family members. After participating in IFI treatment, our home was stabilized, I was better able to manage his behavior, and his grades improved in school. My son then transitioned to CORE services. Our family participated in services for about a year. We relocated but my son behavior has been stable.
